Introduction To A Series

The Tarterrior series is an eight part story in which the origin and the lives of dragons are related. The story follows-for the most part-Wreaknatter Drudlok and his two threats to power, Alsenoth Ongeller and Markus Lumengar. The story, told through a narrative switch style, is the rise and fall of Wreaknatter, the evil Lord of Carthraith and how his actions effect the world of Tarterrior. Told in the span of 112 years, the story is split into three parts: The Overture of Wreaknatter (2 years), the Rise of Wreaknatter (95 years), and the Struggle and Fall of Wreaknatter (15 years). The eight book series consists of the following titles:

(Overture of Wreaknatter)
(1) Tarterrior: The Rise of the Sixth Kingdom (years 488-489; Prologue: 478)

(The Rise of Wreaknatter)
(2) Wapper and the Spotted Egg (year 538)
(3) Limetar Rising (years 539-540)

(The Struggle and Fall of Wreaknatter)
(4) A Shadow Foreseen (years 585-586; Prologue: 558)
(5) Bleeding Sun (years 585-586; Flashbacks: 565, 569; Prologue: 559)
(6) Markus and the Slumanari Gem (year 588)
(7) Echo (years 592-593; multiple other years involved)
(8) The Shadow Reclaimed (years 595-597; Epilogue: 600)

The entries in this blog will help keep up to date the progress of the books, as well as give background information on characters and places within the series itself. I will also post excerpts from the books so that readers might be able to give their feedback, as well as edit any mistakes that are present. Thank you for reading, and please keep coming back!

Oh! By the way, this was all done with my calligraphy set that I got for Christmas of '07. It took about a month and a half to finish. The original PENCIL drawn map was started in 2000, and finalized in early '07.

Adam,
Impressive initiative. I'm still new to your site, but I plan on looking it over fully. I have found your process interesting, since it is very different from how I have done things. What is the word count on book one (so I know what specific sub-genre it falls under)?

As of right now? I am only a quarter way through chapter eight and I am at a word count of 28,433. Wow. That surprises even me. I don't even think that I am a quarter way done with the BOOK, so I wonder how it will all add up.
